Founder & Managing Director
Melanie Brown was born in Britain, grew up in Saskatchewan & has lived in Calgary for 35 years. In the past she has enjoyed a 16 year career in the financial industry which spanned over investment sales, investment management, audit & compliance. Her final position in the industry was Regional Compliance Manager, Prairie Region for a major Canadian Bank & securities firm. Melanie is very hands on with the team & brings a very personalized approach to management of the business. With her audit and compliance background, it's important to her that details are looked after and in particular there is compliance for the home watch services.
Melanie understands the importance of time & people's ongoing pursuit of balance in life. What prompted Melanie to develop the concept of a complete Residential Concierge service was a family crisis close to her which brought 6 adult children together to manage & provide support with the daily essentials. She realized not all people are as fortunate enough to have this type of support in life. She also understands that for most people your home is your primary asset and investment. It needs care while you are at home & when you are away from home as well. With this, in early 2012 Calgary Home Watch & Concierge was established. Today the business has grown to a leader in the industry, for which new companies have followed.
Melanie runs her business with the same professional, efficient manner with which she did in her financial career. Trust & relationship is of the utmost importance to her & she ensures her entire team of fourteen has the same set of values.
CALGARY HOME WATCH - HOME WATCH SERVICES. The core service of the business is managed with care; efficient, thorough - dot the i and cross the t. The inspections are very thorough, detailed reporting is concise; date & time stamped for insurance purposes. The home watch team is consistent and these services have been conducted by the same individuals for years in the business. Melanie is extremely hands on with the home watch segment and keeps in regular contact with the home watch reps conducting the home inspections on the road as well as being in constant contact with clients that are away from their homes, when & as required.
